It is a bit of a mystery to the general public. Maybe they should go to a Boston University professor or an English language authority in the UK to explain the terminology.
Let us look at this scenario, after helping his friend move to a new apartment, someone discovers he still has a chocolate bar in his pocket which someone had given to him.
He has never been an IKEA customer. He takes the chocolate out of his pocket, licks it and eats it. It tastes wonderful, good to the last bite, what a pleasurable experience.
Then later on in the evening, he discovers that he has to rush to the bathroom with sudden stomach pains and diarrhea or something, or some other allergic reaction.
He goes to the internet and googles allergy, chocolate, famous Swiss Chocolates, food product recalls and some other pertinent words, like CHOKLAD MORK which is the name of the chocolate he enjoyed.
First in line is IKEA Chocolate bars. What the hell? He never went to IKEA and since when did IKEA a furniture company set up a Chocolate factory producing Chocolates under the IKEA brand. Pretty soon, Nestle may start producing Televisions and Computers. Think about it.
Is the photo of the chocolate bar, CHOKLAD MORK, on the CFIA recall site specifically for the IKEA BRAND or related to the thousands of images and companies associated with the same words.
Additionally, when CHOKLAD MORK is googled it seems to mean DARK CHOCOLATE and hundreds of companies are associated with these two words.
To you Mr. IKEA, why do you not stick to what you know best and before you plunge into the food business, why not consult the proper authorities, laboratories, or even the CFIA for recommndations about quality, label specificiations and requirements before unsuspecting consumers suffer (or die) unnecessarily.
To all you folks out there beware of any Eeebaye or Kajijiji advertising of Ikea Chocolate bars at very reasonable prices.
Be suspicious ..... or if you are looking for chocolate flavoured laxatives ... your choice.
