gurwinder Singh jhinjer All wrong information. Bhindranwale demanded fundamental rights for the people of Punjab. Indra Gandhi could not see his popularity and unity of Sikhs. Then, instead of talking to Bhindranwale.. they blamed him as a terrorist and gathered the military and started a war with him.. He was not a terrorist. He never killed any innocent Hindu or Muslim..I wonder why Sikhs in India were treated like outsiders after the freedom in 1947 ... even though Sikhs were the only reason India got freedom.. One more time He never demanded Khalistan.. It was the propaganda of governments to defame him...He was a Saint Soldier.
Captain Rathore Iron lady paid with her life. She should have gone through the history before challenging the Khalsa.

The Truth About Indira Gandhi - BBC
Pakistan And India Partition 1947
The partition of India تقسیم ہند was the partition of British India on the basis of religious demographics.
This led to the creation of the sovereign states of the Dominion of Pakistan (that later split into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People's Republic of Bangladesh) and the Union of India (later the Republic of India).
The Indian Independence Act 1947 had decided 15 August 1947 as the appointed date for the partition. However, Pakistan came into existence a day earlier, on 14 August.
The partition of India was set forth in the Indian Independence Act 1947 and resulted in the dissolution of the British Indian Empire and the end of the British Raj. It resulted in a struggle between the newly constituted states of India and Pakistan and displaced up to 12.5 million people with estimates of the loss of life varying from several hundred thousand to a million (most estimates of the numbers of people who crossed the boundaries between India and Pakistan in 1947 range between 10 and 12 million).
The violent nature of the partition created an atmosphere of mutual hostility and suspicion between India and Pakistan that plagues their relationship to this day. The partition included the geographical division of the Bengal province into East Bengal, which became part of the Dominion of Pakistan (from 1956, East Pakistan). West Bengal became part of India, and a similar partition of the Punjab province became West Punjab (later the Pakistani Punjab and Islamabad Capital Territory) and East Punjab (later the Indian Punjab, as well as Haryana and Himachal Pradesh).
The partition agreement also included the division of Indian government assets, including the Indian Civil Service, the Indian Army, the Royal Indian Navy, the Indian railways and the central treasury, and other administrative services. The two self-governing countries of India and Pakistan legally came into existence at the stroke of midnight on 14--15 August 1947.
The ceremonies for the transfer of power were held a day earlier in Karachi, at the time the capital of the new state of Pakistan, so that the last British Viceroy, Lord Mountbatten of Burma, could attend both the ceremony in Karachi and the ceremony in Delhi. Thus, Pakistan's Independence Day is celebrated on 14 August and India's on 15 August.

The Indian (India) Mafia - Organized Crime History Documentary
No matter what this documentary tries to portray, one thing is for certain, India is a great country with a long history, a fabulous culture with outstanding tradition dated thousands of years, as well as mouth-watering recipes, to indulge in for even the most cynical palate.
They are a nation of beautiful people, especially the women, in particular, Nargis in the movie "Mother India", which was my first introduction to this interesting culture at a very young age in Athens, Greece.
Since then, I have studied Indian history and culture and I wrote several articles detailing the culture and life story of Mahatma Gandhi, which I believe is one of the greatest personalities in the world, additionally, the assassination of Indira Gandhi, about whom many people wrongfully believe to be the daughter of Mahatma Gandhi who was assassinated; as well as the killing of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the Golden temple.
The story of India is endless and with the interruption and cessation of colonization from the English, finally, India carried on its history as an independent nation.
Obviously, with a population of over 1.5 billion, and whenever there are money and cash exchange, there will always be some level of corruption.
The film seems to be focusing on small things and amplifying them in such a way that the viewer is made to believe that this is widespread, right and left corruption taking place in this great country. Peter Spyros Goudas
Studioul de Dans Floarea Soarelui - Dans Indian
As I was going through different websites, reading articles, documentaries and videos, etc, etc., to be able to portray to the world what India is all about, I came across a fascinating video made in another country.
I found it to be very interesting for the amount of time taken by someone out there to train these children in representing a cultural aspect of India communicated through their dance, which I thought was perfectly done.
That led me to believe that I am far from being the only one who enjoys the Indian culture, the Country, and the people. Additionally, I sympathize with the misery they've endured in the last few centuries

Mother India Super Hit Hindi Full Movie Nargis, Raaj Kumar, Sunil Dutt 1957
Synopsis: The film is set in 1957, the present day at the time of the shooting. When construction of an irrigation canal to the village is completed, Radha (Nargis), considered to be the "mother" of the village, is asked to inaugurate the canal.
She remembers her past when she was newly married.
The wedding between Radha and Shamu (Raaj Kumar) is paid for by Radha's mother-in-law, who borrows the money from the moneylender Sukhilala.
The conditions of the loan are disputed, but the village elders decide in favour of the moneylender, after which Shamu and Radha are forced to pay three-quarters of their crop as interest on the loan of ₹500 (valued at about US$105 in 1957).
While Shamu works to bring more of their rocky land into use, his arms are crushed by a boulder.
Ashamed of his helplessness (being without arms) and humiliated by Sukhilala for living on the earnings of his wife, Shamu decides that he is of no use to his family and permanently leaves Radha and their three sons, walking to his own probable death by starvation.
Soon after, Radha's youngest son and her mother-in-law died.
A severe storm and the resulting flood destroy houses in the village and ruins the harvest. Sukhilala offers to save Radha and her sons if she trades her body to him for food.
Radha vehemently refused his offer but had to also lose her infant (her fourth son) to the atrocities of the storm. Although the villagers begin initially to evacuate the village, they decide to stay and rebuild it, persuaded by Radha.
Several years later, Radha's two surviving children, Birju (Sunil Dutt) and Ramu (Rajendra Kumar), are young men. Birju, embittered since childhood by the demands of Sukhilala, takes out his frustrations by pestering the village girls, especially Sukhilala's daughter, Rupa. Ramu, by contrast, has a calmer temperament and is married soon after.
Birju's anger finally becomes dangerous and, after being provoked, he attacks Sukhilala and his daughter and steals Radha's Kangan (marriage bracelets) that were pawned with Sukhilala.
He is chased out of the village and becomes a bandit. Radha promises Sukhilala that she will not let Birju cause harm to Sukhilala's family. On Rupa's wedding day, Birju returns with his gang of bandits to exact his revenge. He kills Sukhilala and kidnaps Rupa.
When he tries to flee the village on his horse, Radha, his mother, shoots him. He dies in her arms. The film returns to 1957; Radha opens the gate of the canal and its reddish water flows into the fields.
