Michael ArchAngel  Thank you Borge Family.  For sharing your father with us all.  The world is a bit nicer because of him.  Well done Victor.  You are truly loved and remembered by millions.

libertango  I only discovered Victor today, but I feel I know him forever. I have to thank youtube and all the uploaders. I listen to Mozart Requiem and I cry. This documentary was as sad as his acts were happy. I laughed so hard. I think I saw everything that I found. Amazing guy, one of a kind.

Charles Slater  Victor Borge has been my favourite comedian every since hearing him on a LP record back in 1954. It's great to be able to learn so much more about the life of this absolutely unique exceedingly talented entertainer. Thanks for uploading.

VICTOR BORGE ""HONOREE""

MESSAGE TO VIEWERS: [Click on "Show More" for rest of this message & description] I am sad to find out that several people have copied and re-posted most of my videos, using my exact same titles (this video is among over 400 videos that they have copied from me).

The descriptions are either shown as I originally wrote them, partially shown, completely left out, or completely changed!! These copied videos often have different thumbnail pictures but sometimes they're the same.

I have spent hundreds of hours preparing and uploading these videos and it is VERY UPSETTING & DISCOURAGING to discover this RAMPANT COPYING & RE-POSTING! It is just PLAIN MEAN! I would appreciate it very much if you would avoid any videos by "All Star Party" & "Kirdie Ferdin".

Thanks to all of you for your views of my originally posted videos and your subscriptions to my channel. Sincerely, Violet Pearl. 4-17-2015

Day at Night: Victor Borge, Danish comedian, conductor and pianist

CUNY TV's restoring of the classic public television program, "Day at Night", which aired from 1973-1974. In this episode, host James Day talks with comedian, conductor and pianist Victor Borge about the serious nature of comedy and his start in America after fleeing from Nazis in his native Denmark.

CUNY TV is proud to re-broadcast newly digitized episodes of DAY AT NIGHT, the popular public television series hosted by the late James Day.

Day was a true pioneer of public television: co-founder of KQED in San Francisco, president of WNET upon the merger of National Educational Television (NET) and television station WNDT/Channel 13, and most recently, Chairman of the CUNY TV Advisory Board.

The series features fascinating interviews with notable cultural and political figures conducted in the mid 1970's. (Taped: 12/5/73)
