ST. PHILLIPS BAKERY
In 1968 the first St. Phillips Bakery opened its doors to business on Jane Street south of Wilson Avenue in Downsview. Giuseppe Bozzo’s dream was to build a successful business in his new country. His True Passion was to produce true Artisan Italian Bread and had quickly garnered a reputation for having some of the best bread in the city.
It wasn’t long before his son Robert, who shared his father’s passion, joined him. In the early years Robert was inspired by the magic of cakes and produced 25 Custom Cakes per week. Before long customers began taking notice of their talent for decorating specialty cakes. As their product base expanded so did their customers.
